Every morning, as part of my morning ritual, I hand write out a page worth of affirmations. I've used affirmations to cure my allergies in the past, and now they help me cultivate the feeling of the states I want to achieve throughout the day, the week, and the rest of my life.
This morning I wrote out ones that felt particularly good. After deeply experiencing them and really digging the feelings, I wanted to share them with you. With hope that they feel as good for you as they have for me, here they are!
I, Nik Hawks, now cultivate a happier, ever more enjoyable life. I focus on feeling the state I want to achieve. I imagine the feeling intensely and accurately before I reach the state. By the time I arrive, all the hardest work is done and what is left is simply to experience the joy. I focus on the feeling.
I wish to achieve the following states, and I will feel them into existence:
FIRST, the state of balanced joy. This is an exploration into both sides of the Y-axis, the highs and the lows. I acknowledge that all states offer some form of wisdom, and knowledge is joy for me. I will feel my way into the multi-dimensional experience of being fully immersed in deep knowledge, seeking a joyous balance.
SECOND, a steady state of exuberant health. This strongly supports the joy state above and is achieved by feeling and respecting and responding to the messages my body sends. I allow my natural state to be extraordinary health, and I claim it first by feeling it. My health is the foundation for strength and physical agency, and I feel the birthright power of an evolved human coursing through me, buoying me up. Feel it first!
THIRD, a state of constantly accumulating wealth. I am as a beautiful high mountain lake filled with clean water. I am constantly replenished by the peaks and slopes around me, and together we gather and offer an essential element to our ecosystem. I offer abundance and succor to all beings around me, creating beauty, peace, and abundance by allowing my natural state to flourish.
By feeling first, intensely, and totally, I constantly bring these states into physical existence. I acknowledge the power I am using, and I gratefully put it in service of creating a more joyful experience. I feel deeply.

State Of Joy…
It is good for us to stop what we are doing once in a while to reflect and remember how great and powerful God is. We can look around at the beauty, magnitude, complexity, and mystery of everything that he created, and see it. Then to think that we are one of his children, he knows us and cares about each of us should make us feel great, joyful, and loved. I’ll call it a “state of joy”
David wrote about this in Psalm 100:1-3 “Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”
Dear Lord, You are more majestic and powerful than we can even understand, and to think that you care enough about us to save us through Jesus Christ, brings us humility and great joy! Praise the Lord. Amen.
Thank you Nik for sharing your affirmations. I also, every morning, recite my affirmations as I commute to work. It allows me to center my thoughts and gets me ready for whatever the day brings along.
Have a happy and safe holidays.
