Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans book review

We are HUGE fans of the Michelle Tam & Henry Fong duo behind this book; it's a great combo of, in Michelle's (paraphrased) words, Art and Snark.  Of course, it doesn't hurt that Michelle loves Paleo Treats!  As one of the O.G. Paleo pipe hitters, Michelle knows through long experience what it takes to put together a damn fine Paleo meal, but if Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans stopped at Paleo meals we wouldn't be writing this review. What makes this book special is the care that's been paid to every damn detail of its production, from the right color red to the raised letters on the cover to the goddamn cute little cartoons inside.  Way to go Henry! Of course, you could put together a great book of Paleo recipes, carefully craft some cartoons to animate the whole thing, and present it in an artful way, but you still wouldn't be up to par with this book. The final touch that really makes this book stand out is the way Michelle & Henry's family is portrayed; they're real, damnit!  From the funny little cartoons to pictures of her boy digging in to a bottle of Furikake, this book makes it seem more like you're peeking over their shoulders and smelling the deliciousity rather than reading a boring old cookbook. For those of you looking for an entry into Paleo cooking, or if you're looking to add to your collection of delicious Paleo recipes, or even if you're one of those collectors of books that look great that you never read (or follow the advice of), this is a fantastic book for your shelf. Recommendation: Buy Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans
