Yo San Diego, you ready for homemade gluten free pizza crust? Mmm, how 'bout pizza for dinner tonight in America's Finest City?
Ingredients: Tapioca flour, coconut flour, Italian seasoning (oregano, marjoram, thyme, basil, rosemary, sage), salt
After our gluten free pizza crust recipe got rave reviews for, oh, 5 years, we decided that we'd make it even easier for you to make Paleo pizza right here in San Diego.
Lee came up with the name. I'll call it Paleo Pizza Crust, but if you want to make her smile you'll refer to this as:
Long Haired Freaky Pizza Lovers Need Apply Mix
This makes 2 small or 1 large pizza. Nik will usually eat most of a batch. YMMV.
Are there instructions? Yep, right on the back label. Relax, if you can stir a bowl and knead dough, you can make this pizza. Stir, not smoke. Smoking a bowl is not advised with this pizza, unless you want to eat the whole thing yourself.
Serving size: 48g, One Pizza Slice. Servings per container: 12. Amount per serving: Calories: 130, total fat 12.3g (16% DV), sat fat 2g (10% DV), cholesterol 28mg (9% DV), sodium 207mg (9% DV), total carb 5.1g (2% DV), dietary fiber .3g (1% DV), total sugars .2g, protein 1.1g
Is Paleo gluten free? Yes, anything Paleo is also gluten free, so this is definitely a gluten free pizza crust.
What's the pizza dough like? It's not quite as stretchy as gluten filled pizza dough, but it's really easy to work with. The big thing you should be worrying about is the toppings. Trust me, this makes awesome pizza dough.
Is this pizza crust vegan? You can definitely make it vegan, but you'll need to find an egg substitute. Typically you can make vegan egg substitutes with flax seed, chia, or Bob's Red Mill sells an egg replacer mix.
Is this a cauliflower pizza crust? Nope. While those can be pretty good, this has a much more pizza-like texture in the crust.
How do I make gluten free pizza? It's pretty easy; just buy this mix and follow the directions. We've had a legion of testers on this and they love it. Ranging from semi-pro Mom-cooks to "I only make boil-in-the-bag" food, they all love how easy and delicious this recipe is. Enjoy!
